Haul: NYX Mortal Instruments City of Bones Makeup Collection

 

I got this NYX makeup collection just because it costs an affordable price of $40 at Sephora. Besides, I enjoy NYX products pretty much. I did not like the packaging all that much but the items inside are what attracted me.

 

Inside, there is a simple look book that guides you to create a day or night look with the products. And then, there's the products:

The Smokey Shadow Palette

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul

Boudoir Mascara Collection in Le Frou Frou

Powder Blush in Pinched

Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Black

Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cashmere

 

After getting this collection, I even went to catch the movie. Turns out to be one of those teenage romantic fantasy movie, but I enjoyed it (:

Haul: Daiso

 

Daiso lovers out there! Here's a post specially for you! It's my most recent haul from Daiso and if you're interested in any of these, most likely you will still be able to get your hands on these!

 

First off, I got myself a lipstick with a silver casing and a green diamond on top in the shade PK-1.

 

Then I got 3 Shiny Eyeshadows Sticks in Black, Brown and Pink. They have a blue and white ones as well.

 

I finally got to buy a mascara that I feel comfortable trying! It's made in Taiwan and it comes in a pretty purple-black packaging.

 

When I saw that Daiso was selling lash glue so similar to my Star Lash Lash Glue, I knew it has to be tried. Daiso has both Black Eyelash Glue and Clear Eyelash Glue. I bought both. Watch out for a review of these!

 

Oh I know Halloween is not so soon but the little purple pumpkin holder was calling out to me. So I got it, before I have the chance to regret when it is sold out later.

 

I ended up buying 3 eyeshadows palettes. 2 of the Pearl in Eye Shadow Palettes in A and B, and a Glitter Eyeshadow Ellefar Color Makeup Series in B.

 

Next are the blushes! When I saw these, I fell in love immediately. These have 4 shades of blush in teach of them; 2 are shimmery and 2 are matte. I got a Pink Colour and a Magic Color. I think there is another blush in Cute Color.

 

A pack of falsies. I have been putting falsies on nowadays and I absolutely love these short strips of lashes that I put at the outer end of my lashes. It amplifies my eye looks while looking natural.

 

I got myself 3 makeup pouches! Is it obvious I love polka dots? I got 2 of the same pouches because I really love these a lot. It is pretty and can store quite an amount of my makeup that I bring on the go or for stayovers. It has a good design as it is already expanded to fit my things in and feels quite sturdy.

Haul: Mustafa Shopping Centre

 

Another haul! Woah, I do haul a lot, I must admit. Anyway, these are the items I got over 3 trips to Mustafa.

 

Let's start from the left. 3 Alobon Invigorating Colors Luxurious Shining Effect Duo Eyeshadows in 07, 17 and 22. I heard of these from other makeup junkies and they use these as blushes and bronzer.

 

Then a Constance Carroll Quick Stroke Eyeliner in Black, a SilkyGirl Fruitti Sunshine Cheer Trio Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Vineyard Collection Grapes Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Alobon Perfect Lipstick in 304, Constance Carroll Shimmer Glimmer Shimmering Powder in 3 Pink Shimmer for face, cheeks and eyes.

 

I got 3 black mascaras from Constance Carroll! A Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara, a Lots of Lashes Mascara and a Curling Mascara. I decided to get masks from Freeman, its Facial Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals and a Beutisa Whitening Firming Clay Mask with Vitamin E for all skin types.

 

For the last 2 products, I got the Theramed White Booster for whiter teeth for important occasion where I need a nice set of teeth to show and a package consisting of 2 Simple Pure Soap for Sensitive Skin.

Haul: Sasa

 

This is pretty much a collective haul, I think from 3 trips to Sasa! Some were bought from its store and some were from its sale event at Plaza Singapura Atrium.

 

Ok lets get started! First up, Sally Hansen Airbush Legs in Light Glow, Shills Aqua Skin Moisturising Spray, Dot Dot Compact Waterproof Flawless Foundation in Ivory White, Shills Bemishless Pores Hide and Heal Cream, Dot Dot Gel Eyeliner in Shimmering Black, Sasatinnie Super Dolly Powerful Curling Mascara in Black, 2 Sasa Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Bases in 02 Balance, 2 Sasa HD Perfect Foundations in 02 Warm Ivory, 2 Color Combos Bodycare Ginger Slim Up Body Scrubs.

 

As you have noticed, I have each of the Sasa HD Perfect Foundation, Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Base and Color Combos Ginger Slim Up Body Scrub missing. That's because I've actually used up all of the 1st bottles! I will be giving a reviews on these! Do watch out for these!

(NAH) Review: ELF Lengthening and Defining Mascara

 

This ELF Lengthening and Defining Mascara is the worst mascara I've used. Sadly, this is another ELF that just did not work for me. As I'm a mascara lover since I don't use falsies much, I've dealt with many mascaras over the years.

 

I think most blame goes to the design. When I took out the brush wand, a lot of product comes out with it. It clumps my lashes. Then when I put the wand back in, the excess mascara won't go in, gets pushed out of the tube, gets stuck in the surface of the tube rim which I either removed it away or just close it anyway and it gets stuck in the twist area.

 

The next time I use it, the same thing happens all over again. To be crude, this mascara sucks balls. After the bad experience with this, I've stop trying out ELF mascaras. How's your ELF mascara experience?

(YAY) Review: Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara in Blackest Black

 

Guess what? This Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara is my holy grail in my current stash! Initially, I just bought this because of the wand. It's something I've never seen before previously. Who knew it would turn out to be my most favourite among all the current mascaras that I'm using!

 

It definitely gives me length and volume, and I don't have to layer several coats to see the results. The small round rubber wand easily coats the small lashes at my outer corner. 1-2 coats would be enough. Be careful because any more coats will make your lashes long like spider legs

 

I love this and if I don't have so many mascara waiting for me to try, I would repurchase this!

(NAH) Review: Constance Carroll Double Volume Mascara

  

I've been using this Constance Carroll Double Volume Mascara for months and it's time for a review! I got this at a John Little sale some time back and I recently saw Mustafa carrying products of this brand. I have to say I was not impressed with this mascara. Here's why:

1) It has a very dry formula, I almost think it has dried up

2) Nothing magical in volumizing, although it claims to be 'Double Volume'

3) Not much lengthening effects seen

 

However, I do have to give the white base coat some credit as if there's any lengthening of lashes, it's the help of the base coat. The black mascara has been unhelpful to me.

(NAH) Review: Revlon Grow Luscious Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black

 

Hi all! I wanna review on the current waterproof mascara I'm using. Although I prefer to wear non-waterproof ones usually, I need to have at least one waterproof one for days when I think I'm gonna sweat a lot, or being outside for long hours or...getting drenched.

 

I wanted to try this Revlon Grow Luscious Waterproof Mascara out as the name 'Grow Luscious' kinda suggest to me that my lashes will grow when I use it. Sadly, that is not the case. I don't see my lashes growing, and removing the mascara has made about 3 of my lashes fall off. That's three wishes made. Haha

 

 I was not impressed with this mascara as it only coats my lashes with not much results in the lengthening or volumizing department. The wand was also kinda hard for me to coat my shorter lashes at my outer corner.

 

Furthermore, it's not like I've super human strength but the cover broke. It is either I twisted it close more than I should or it's just weak material. Now it is not closed tightly anymore. Hmmm
