Haul: NYX Mortal Instruments City of Bones Makeup Collection

 

I got this NYX makeup collection just because it costs an affordable price of $40 at Sephora. Besides, I enjoy NYX products pretty much. I did not like the packaging all that much but the items inside are what attracted me.

 

Inside, there is a simple look book that guides you to create a day or night look with the products. And then, there's the products:

Haul: John Little

 

A mini spree! I got myself a SuperMax and Satin Care shaving foam/gel from The Value Shop. Both at $2.50 each. Cant wait to try these babies as they make such tempting claims.

 

Sale at the newly opened John Little store at Plaza Singapura! I was good and got only 2 products. One is this big bottle of Naris Up Japanese Skin Conditioner Lotion in Vitamin C goodness. Because I know Vitamin C brightens up my face, I gotta try this. Another is L'action Eye Bag Minimizer, claims to provide instant toning effect, helps improve the appearance of dark circles and eye bags, make eyes seem brighter and skin softer and firmer. How nice if it really does what it says.

Haul: Daiso

 

Daiso haul again! I got myself:

 

- Detergent for Puff and Sponge

- Colour Eyeshadow in Golden (swatches beautifully when I was at the store)

- Brow crayon with brush made in Korea (I wanted a backup so it was sold out!)

- Ellefar Glitter Eyeshadow for brown eyed look

- A pack of 2 shaving blades

- A lipstick in the shade pk-2 (orange diamond on the top cover)

 

I got the Ellefar Glitter Eyeshadow and the lipstick before, but in different shades.

Haul: Daiso

 

Daiso lovers out there! Here's a post specially for you! It's my most recent haul from Daiso and if you're interested in any of these, most likely you will still be able to get your hands on these!

 

First off, I got myself a lipstick with a silver casing and a green diamond on top in the shade PK-1.

 

Then I got 3 Shiny Eyeshadows Sticks in Black, Brown and Pink. They have a blue and white ones as well.

 

I finally got to buy a mascara that I feel comfortable trying! It's made in Taiwan and it comes in a pretty purple-black packaging.

 

When I saw that Daiso was selling lash glue so similar to my Star Lash Lash Glue, I knew it has to be tried. Daiso has both Black Eyelash Glue and Clear Eyelash Glue. I bought both. Watch out for a review of these!

 

Oh I know Halloween is not so soon but the little purple pumpkin holder was calling out to me. So I got it, before I have the chance to regret when it is sold out later.

 

I ended up buying 3 eyeshadows palettes. 2 of the Pearl in Eye Shadow Palettes in A and B, and a Glitter Eyeshadow Ellefar Color Makeup Series in B.

 

Next are the blushes! When I saw these, I fell in love immediately. These have 4 shades of blush in teach of them; 2 are shimmery and 2 are matte. I got a Pink Colour and a Magic Color. I think there is another blush in Cute Color.

 

A pack of falsies. I have been putting falsies on nowadays and I absolutely love these short strips of lashes that I put at the outer end of my lashes. It amplifies my eye looks while looking natural.

 

I got myself 3 makeup pouches! Is it obvious I love polka dots? I got 2 of the same pouches because I really love these a lot. It is pretty and can store quite an amount of my makeup that I bring on the go or for stayovers. It has a good design as it is already expanded to fit my things in and feels quite sturdy.

Yay I'm a happy girl! Yes, this is my first Lush haul ever! As it was GSS some time back, I decided to take advantage of the in-store promotions, and picked up these two products.

Haul: Mustafa Shopping Centre

 

Another haul! Woah, I do haul a lot, I must admit. Anyway, these are the items I got over 3 trips to Mustafa.

 

Let's start from the left. 3 Alobon Invigorating Colors Luxurious Shining Effect Duo Eyeshadows in 07, 17 and 22. I heard of these from other makeup junkies and they use these as blushes and bronzer.

 

Then a Constance Carroll Quick Stroke Eyeliner in Black, a SilkyGirl Fruitti Sunshine Cheer Trio Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Vineyard Collection Grapes Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Alobon Perfect Lipstick in 304, Constance Carroll Shimmer Glimmer Shimmering Powder in 3 Pink Shimmer for face, cheeks and eyes.

 

I got 3 black mascaras from Constance Carroll! A Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara, a Lots of Lashes Mascara and a Curling Mascara. I decided to get masks from Freeman, its Facial Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals and a Beutisa Whitening Firming Clay Mask with Vitamin E for all skin types.

 

For the last 2 products, I got the Theramed White Booster for whiter teeth for important occasion where I need a nice set of teeth to show and a package consisting of 2 Simple Pure Soap for Sensitive Skin.

Here's another haul post where the items are gotten at different times at different John Little stores! I personally like looking at other people's hauls so wihout further ado, let's jump right in!

 

I got myself 3 nail polishes from L.A. Girl. I got 2 Matte Flat Finish Nail Colors in Matt Alpine Green and a purple one (the sticker with the shade name came off). The other one is its Rock Star Nail Lacquer in a sheer shimmering purple (again, the sticker came off). I also got myself a Studio Basics 75 Dual Tip Paddle/Point Applicators which can be used for eyes, lips and nails.

 

I got a BL556 Pink Silk Blusher from L.A Girl as well as a Crème Lipstick in Forbidden Love, a Milani Powder Mosaics in 02 Honey Kissed and Milani Glimmer Stripes All Over Color in 10 Berry Glimmer for face, cheek and eye color.

 

These Swisspers 30 Cleansing Eye Make-up Remover Pads are sold for $1.95 each, I had to try!

 

 

I also got me some eyeshadows! A Bourjois Ombre Stretch Ultra Stretchable Colour with Expert Brush in 02 Maxi Blanc and 2 L.A. Girl High Definition Eyeshadows in ES302 Tequila Sunrise and ES301 Pink Flamingo.

This is pretty much a collective haul, I think from 3 trips to Sasa! Some were bought from its store and some were from its sale event at Plaza Singapura Atrium.

Haul: Birthday 2013

 

This birthday haul is definitely a late post as it happened in April. So let's get on with it.

 

I got beauty products from LaLine. It's a pretty new brand in the Singapore market and I have the chance to have these! All the products were wrapped nicely in the white basket containing a Body Brush, Bath Bomb, Vanilla Shower Cream and a pack of 25 Make offs Make Up Removing Wipes.

 

Next, I got The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam and a cute display that plays eerie music when I turn the I love you wheel.

 

The last beauty product is just as awesome! I got a Too Faced Glamour to Go Eye Shadow, Blush, Bronzer and Lip Gloss Palette.

Haul: Pure Beauty from Watsons

 

Just about one month ago, there was a Pure Beauty sale in Watsons, with each of the product in this line selling for $5. I knew it was a good chance to buy some skincare from Korea for $5. I bought 1 bottle of Perfect Cleansing Oil, 2 bottles of Perfect Cleansing Water (I'm using one currently), a Super Brightening Eye Gel, 2 Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl (I gave one away) and 2 Youth Restore Essence with Black Pearl.

 

I have started using the Perfect Cleansing Water for quite awhile. In fact, it's in my list of products I'm using currently. I will be giving you a review of it very soon. Stay tuned.

Haul: Korea 2012

Warning: It's a long post. But oh so many beauty products you would wanna not care about the warning and go ahead anyway.

  

 

 

When you go Korea, be sure to make a trip down to Myeongdong. That place has almost all the Korea beauty brands, like Etude House, Nature Republic, Tony Moly, Skinfood, The Face Shop, Laneige, Banila co., Clio and many others.

 

I got these Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. These came in packs of 7. They don't have shade names to them, so I've numbers 01,02,03,04,05,07,09. I think I'm missing 3 colours? But I'm very happy with these cute sticks for my lips.

 

 

 

I got myself a Laneige Water Bank Essence from Lotte World, two The Odbo Aqua Soothing Silky Essences (I tried this before buying and it feels like moisturising water and absorbs quickly into my skin), a The Odbo Peeling Gel.

I also got a Nature Republic Vitamin C Triple Peeling Kit with Italy Orange Water. I was looking around for Vitamin C products as I wanted to brighten up my face. This has a 3-steps procedures to it. First, use its bottle of Vit C Scrub Balm. Then, use its bottle of Lemon Liquid Peeling followed by its After Peeling Booster Sheet (5 Masks). I was so excited when I saw this kit.

 

 

 

From Banila co., I got its Tea Party Masks in Nourishing Orange Pekoe and Brightening Milktea (this is a free gift once I entered the shop). Also, its well-known Prime Primer in Classic Matt.

 

Masks are must-gets when you are in Korea, there's a huge variety to choose from. From here, I will show you the types of masks I got. Some were free gifts while some were bought and I have several of each. First, I got a Etude House I Miss You Lipbalm and it just smells like sweet apple! Then on the left I've a Skinfood mask which is pretty cool; it has a 1st step - Royal Honey Ampoule (Anti-Wrinkle Effect) and a 2nd step - Royal Honey Essence Mask Sheet. I also have a Sunwoo Essence Mask in Pomegranate.  

 

 

This is totally a picture of a mask galore. Top left (left to right) consists of The Face Shop Sseal Secret Seal of Nature Escargot Mask Sheet, Skinfood Avocado Rich Essence Mask Sheet, Etude House Pearl Extract Mask.

 

Top right consists of The Face Shop Collagen Essential Mask Sheet, Odbo Collagen Hydra-mask and Nature Republic Collagen Dream Mask Sheet.

 

Bottom left consists of Baroness Vitamin C Mask Sheet, Odbo Vitamin C Essential Brightening Mask and The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Pomegranate

 

Bottom right is the favourite part as it has Korea's stars. Anyway, I have The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Lemon, Clio Aloe Moisture Mask and Nature Republic Snaytox Mask Sheet.

  

 

Nail polishes are cheaper there so of course I had to get some! Above are all magnetic nail polishes; I have Skinfood Mag Way Nail in 3 colours with 1 magnet design and The Face Shop Face it ones in 3 colours as well with 2 magnet designs.

 

Below are Skinfood Glipop Pedicure and a The Face Shop Face it nail polish set with 3 colours for a red gradation nails.

 

 

BB creams are also a must! I got myself the Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream in SPF 20 PA+. As I cant test, do not know the shade that suits me and it was way cheap there, I decided to get in the 2 shades available.

 

Below are Petit BB creams from Holika Holika! I think I got these from Lotte World as well. They were so cute and came in a set consisting of different types, so I got it. Simple.

Clio Professional! I have always wanted to try this brand ever since I saw Lee Hyori as its ambassador as I love her and her eyeliner makeup is so awesome. So I had to get their eyeliners to try as I trust her taste. Haha! I got 2 hand creams as well but I have given them away before I did this post. As I was a very supportive consumer, I was given the cosmetic pouch for free.

Haul: Bangkok Trip 2012

 

 

 

I went Bangkok 3 times so far in my life and last year 2012 was my first time stepping into Boots. It's a UK drugstore brand and pharmacy store. How lucky of Bangkok to have both Boots and Watsons. Anyway, I saw these I Love...Cosmetics products and I knew I had to bring some home. The ones I bought are not exactly cosmetics but more of bodywashes. I think there are about 8 different scents to choose from and these 3 were my most favourite. The top picture are all the Exfoliating Shower Smoothies while the bottom ones are Bubble Bath and Shower Cremes. I think I can sit and admire them all day..ok not really.

 

Next, these Boots Botanics Purifying Face Scrub for Normal/Oily Skin caught my attention. They look like they are gentle on my face and made of natural ingredients. Haha, well they looked like, but of course there are chemicals in them but less, and they are made in UK. Into my cart these go!

 

Soap and Glory. Cheaper than those found at Sephora. Plus, they were having further sale at Boots. Need I say more? I got the Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em Body Buff scented with their Mist You Madly's and Flake Away Shea Butter, Sugar and Peach Seed Powder Spa Body Polish, with skin smoothing sea salt, grapeseed and almond oil.  I was mind boggled with all the tempting ingredients. The next time you go to Bangkok, please be sure to make a trip down to Boots and get these babies. You won't regret it.

 

Then, it was the 2nd time I went to their MBK mall. Inside the mall, a wide variety of fragrances and cosmetics are offered on a particular level. You need to check out that level if you are into beauty (which you are because you are reading this now). I found a store selling Bath and BodyWorks frangrance mists!!! I almost wanna laughed out in victory as these cannot be found in Singapore. But no, that would have looked crazy. Anyway, I got the 2 smaller bottles in their Signature Collection in Cherry Blossom and Midnight Pomegranate. The 2 bigger bottles are their Signature Citrus Collection in Peach Citrus and Pomegranate Citrus.

 

 

 

Do remember to walk the streets of Bangkok as well. There are small push carts along the roads selling a huge variety of goods. It's ok if you do not want to eat their food, but there are also beauty related stuff offered! Upon looking closely, there was this vendor selling all types of mirror, which I thought was so Anna Sui inspired. In the end, I got this pretty heart-shaped mirror. The top mirror and the base can be separated, and they will help you wrapped nicely and thickly with newspaper. I just pack it into my luggage and was still in fine condition all the way back home. 

 

 

 

Here are some X&D Nail Foils, a sticker that acts as a nail polish for your fingernails. Cheaper there too, bought them at Platinum Mall. Some accessories for you all as well! Watches and rings from Chatuchak Weekend Market. Necklaces can be found at different malls, go to those fashion malls and you can find pretty necklaces at low prices.  

 

 

I had wanted to get myself a Kenzo Perfume after I smelled it at our local Sephora but thought that it would be a wiser choice to buy when I came back from Bangkok so that I can get it at their duty-free store at the arrival hall for a slightly cheaper price, while waiting for my luggage to be ready for collection. This has got to be my most expensive fragrance yet as I'm into VS and BBW which are not so highly priced as others.

The next time you go to Bangkok, have a blast there with their food, clothes, accessories and of course, beauty products. However, do be careful with where you buy from. I do notice counterfeit products that are being sold on their streets and even in malls, like those open stores/push carts. Thus, it is advisable to go well-known stores like Boots, Watsons or just big official stores that have store name displayed for us to see clearly. Enjoy!

Haul: Taiwan Trip 2011

 

As this trip consists of 5 guys and 2 girls (including me), it's hard to look more into beauty products because I wanna do activities that allow us all to do together. That being said, let's get started on the small haul I got from Taiwan!

 

The first beauty product that first came to my mind when I decided to go on a trip to Taiwan is My Beauty Diary Masks. Since there were so many different types to try, why not get a box containing all the different types!

 

Next I came across the travel sized tubes of the Maybelline Pure Mineral 8 in 1 Skin Transformer BB Cream in SPF 26. It was about 1SGD and buy 1 get 1 free. Oh yeah, picked it up of course

 

Ok, Heme skincare for 4SGD each? Hell yeah!

Green - Pore Perfect Refining Night Jelly

Purple - Sparkling Diamond Instant Lift & Contour Firming Night Jelly

Blue - Snow Lucent Whitening Night Jelly

Pink - 24hr Hydrating Detox-White Night Jelly

 

The surprising thing is that Taiwan's 7-Eleven sells quite a variety of beauty products unlike our local ones. All the above can be found at their 7-Eleven stores!

 

Then I dragged my girlfriend into a 2-level store near Xi Men Ding, while the guys went to watch movie. The first floor sells beauty products while the second floor sells products like food, clothes and etc. I think I stayed on the first floor easily for more than an hour.

 

I got myself this Berry Kiss Victoria's Secret Body Mist with notes of Wild Raspberry, Praline and Rose. It's about the same price as Singapore but I've never come across this scent at our local VS stores.

 

The two Skin79 BB products came in a set. The middle one is The Oriental Smooth Sun BB Pact in SPF 25 PA++, while the other one is the Dream Girls BB in SPF 30 PA++.

Haul: Nanairo $2 shop

 

Here's a haul from Nanairo, it's a Japanese shop that offers everything at $2 each. It's pretty similar to Daiso. However, their cosmetics somewhat looks more appealing to me than Diaso. I've got products from brands like AC, La Pensee and another brand which I'm not sure but you can recognise this same brand with its signature leopard print packaging.

 

And guess what? I was kinda agitated when I saw Nex's Guardian selling the AC brand cosmetics at prices which are triple the price I bought!!! I recommend taking a trip down to Liang court, near Clarke Quay MRT, and checking these out. It's at the basement level.

 

I have tried the lipgloss once. Pretty pigmented and feels like it does not budge from my lips! The eyeshadows are pretty smooth and give a nice colour payoff. They are not flaky at all. I swatched the Ac blushes and they are very smooth and silky. I have yet to try the La Pensee Blush though.

 

No break outs and no irritations from these products. Generally, I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Haul: Victoria's Secret Sets

 

I have always loved VS products since the day when my brother came back from US and gifted me with VS body mists, perfumes and bags. It was back in 2009. I was instantly hooked and went back a few times to shop for beauty products online. Lucky for me, VS decided to come to Singapore and I no longer shop for its products online although I know what is offered online might not be sold here. I need to suck it up.

 

 

When I saw this with the price tag, I almost went out of breathe. It was $35 for this whole set. I love the colour, the design and the fragrance. Pure Seduction is one of my favourites and I'm currently using it. I had to get this, no questions.

 

After going out of the shop and thinking a few more times, I succumbed to this yellow one too because the colour of the clutch was just too irresistible. I was hesitating as I was not fond of the scent of Amber Romance but....the clutch is so pretty!!! Urghh! Had. to. get. it. as. well.

 

VS also has the Love Spell set in a white clutch. Since I'm over the scent and the white clutch was the least appealing to me, I could easily gave up buying that.
