Double Reviews: (YAY) Lady Speed Stick in Shower Fresh + (NAH) Rexona Women in Powder Dry

 

Is it weird I use two deodorants at the same period of time? Sometimes, even three! That is because I like to play around with liquid, solid and spray deodorants. I will grab whichever according to my mood! Yupp, I'm like that, get use to it! But for now, I'm using these two.

 

 Let's touch on the Lady Speed Stick in Shower Fresh first. I heard of this brand from some random UK beauty guru on Youtube so I knew I had to try this myself. The main things that attracted me was the price and the scent. I got mine at The Value Shop for $1.95! It smells so fresh and clean! What's more is that it has 'dare to wear black, clear protection', which is to say that I don't have to worry about my deodorant staining my dark clothes, unlike the Nivea Extra Whitening solid deodorant. I was instantly in love.

As for Rexona Women in Powder Dry, this is my second bottle and I bought this when I have not yet discover the Lady Speed Stick. It definitely does dry faster after applying on my underarms. I don't particularly like the scent; it's not unpleasant but the powdery scent is not something to my liking. I got it mostly due to the price. I also got this from The Value Shop at $1.95! I think The Value Shop offers the lowest price and I'm usually there to get some of my daily essentials.

(YAY) Multiple Reviews: ELF Duo Cream Eyeshadows in Black Licorice + Egg Plant + Olive + Sugar Cookie

I did a previous post on the 4 ELF Duo Cream Eyeshadows that helps create a neutral eye look. Now, I'm gonna review the rest of the 4 which I have in my collection.

 

 

Black Licorice just made creating a smokey eye easy.

 

 

I think of all the duos I have from ELF, this Egg Plant has got to be the most disappointing one in terms of colours. These 2 shades look so pretty in the packaging but when I apply it onto my lids, I just felt that the colours were very dull and make my eye look 'dirty'.

 

 

Olive takes me out of my comfort zone but yet makes me feel comfortable with it on. I don't usually wear green eyeshadows, in fact it's kinda rare to see me wear green eye looks. However, this is just so wearable and natural that I don't feel uneasy about being able to pull it off or not.

 

 

Sugar Cookie is so lovable. It's like a light wash of colour to my lids. It's a soft pretty colour that brightens up my eyes. Another everyday wear.

(YAY) Multiple Reviews: ELF Duo Cream Eyeshadows in Butter Pecan + Mocha Swirl + Coffee and Cream + Berry Mix

Gotta love these ELF Duo Cream Eyeshadows! They are so creamy and easy to blend! Furthermore, no matter what colours they are, they all gimme a very natural look! Of course, if you're going for bold colours, these are not for you. It is also not advisable to apply a thick layer on your lids as they will crease easier over time.

 

For this post, I will be reviewing 4 duos that gives a more neutral eye look! Lets go!

 

 

Butter Pecan is the duo that I use almost everyday! It is so natural and gives my eyes that 'nude look'. Love it.

 

Mocha Swirl is the second best alternative to my Butter Pecan when I want a brown look. This gives a darker brown eye look than Butter Pecan.

 

 

Coffee and Cream is those days when you wanna go for a fancy brown eye look. I absolutely am in love with the white eyeshadow with fine golden specks, it is so beautiful. Sometimes, I will just wear the white eyeshadow alone for the night, it just makes my eyes so sparkly and bright!

 

This last shade, Berry Mix, is actually a plummy colour. However, it does have a slight brown undertone to it. Thus, when I blend it on my lids, it gives me a very pretty neutral eye look! This is a plummy eyeshadow colour that is easy to wear out everyday.

Haul: Mustafa Shopping Centre

 

Another haul! Woah, I do haul a lot, I must admit. Anyway, these are the items I got over 3 trips to Mustafa.

 

Let's start from the left. 3 Alobon Invigorating Colors Luxurious Shining Effect Duo Eyeshadows in 07, 17 and 22. I heard of these from other makeup junkies and they use these as blushes and bronzer.

 

Then a Constance Carroll Quick Stroke Eyeliner in Black, a SilkyGirl Fruitti Sunshine Cheer Trio Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Vineyard Collection Grapes Lipbalm in SPF 15, a Alobon Perfect Lipstick in 304, Constance Carroll Shimmer Glimmer Shimmering Powder in 3 Pink Shimmer for face, cheeks and eyes.

 

I got 3 black mascaras from Constance Carroll! A Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara, a Lots of Lashes Mascara and a Curling Mascara. I decided to get masks from Freeman, its Facial Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals and a Beutisa Whitening Firming Clay Mask with Vitamin E for all skin types.

 

For the last 2 products, I got the Theramed White Booster for whiter teeth for important occasion where I need a nice set of teeth to show and a package consisting of 2 Simple Pure Soap for Sensitive Skin.

Haul: John Little

 

Here's another haul post where the items are gotten at different times at different John Little stores! I personally like looking at other people's hauls so wihout further ado, let's jump right in!

 

I got myself 3 nail polishes from L.A. Girl. I got 2 Matte Flat Finish Nail Colors in Matt Alpine Green and a purple one (the sticker with the shade name came off). The other one is its Rock Star Nail Lacquer in a sheer shimmering purple (again, the sticker came off). I also got myself a Studio Basics 75 Dual Tip Paddle/Point Applicators which can be used for eyes, lips and nails.

 

I got a BL556 Pink Silk Blusher from L.A Girl as well as a Crème Lipstick in Forbidden Love, a Milani Powder Mosaics in 02 Honey Kissed and Milani Glimmer Stripes All Over Color in 10 Berry Glimmer for face, cheek and eye color.

 

These Swisspers 30 Cleansing Eye Make-up Remover Pads are sold for $1.95 each, I had to try!

 

 

I also got me some eyeshadows! A Bourjois Ombre Stretch Ultra Stretchable Colour with Expert Brush in 02 Maxi Blanc and 2 L.A. Girl High Definition Eyeshadows in ES302 Tequila Sunrise and ES301 Pink Flamingo.

(NAH) Double Review: Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Compact Powder in Natural and Blooming

 

 

I got this Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Compact Powder in Blooming for free as I spent over a certain amount at Watsons during their sale. They only had this shade so it was not up to me to choose the shade. This shade was unsuitable for my face as it goes towards the orange tone rather than my yellow tone. I have been using this as a blush, and boy does it looks so natural on! It's like a very natural peachy flush to my cheeks!

 

One thing I dislike about this was that the powder in the compact got ugly 'bubbles' after I start using it. I never had this problem before with other compact powders. Also, this makes my face patchy and disgusting when I use it to touch up my makeup. 

 

For this Clear Fairness Compact Powder in Natural, each came together with 2 Clean & Clear Deep Action Daily Pore Cleansers. Again, same problem as the above, it got ugly 'bubbles' and makes my face patchy when re-touching my face. It also gives very poor coverage alone.

 

This is not a compact powder that I will be interested in.

(YAY) Review: Sanrio Hello Kitty Hand Wash (Cherry Scented)

Still not over the Hello Kitty craze at our local Macdonalds? Well, here's another remedy for fans out there. Get yourself this bottle of hand wash from Giant, at their Hello Kitty section. This Hello Kitty Hand Wash is more to the gel wash kind. The last time I got this at Tampines Giant, there was only two left, so pray they restock these pretties! Or, check out other outlets.

 

I feel that this hand wash is nothing amazing, just like any other average hand wash. I have actually used up the hand wash and transferred my facial cleanser into this bottle so that I feel happy everytime I wash my face! Such a pretty bottle to sit around your bathroom and for as low a price as about $5. Plus, it is cherry scented! How can I not like this? More useful in my life than those plushies!

(YAY) Review: Sasa Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Base in 02 Balance

 

I talked about the Sasa HD Perfect Foundation in my previous post and in this post, I wanna talked about its partner; Sasa Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Base. I got in my previous Sasa haul. Well, I have a totally different opinion about this product from its HD Foundation although this also costs me 2 bucks at a Sasa sale.

 

I used to use this makeup base and this is my 2nd tube. However, I'm currently just clearing up my Monistat primer first.

 

I have applied thickly on my hand in the hope of showing you more clearly the pinkish iridescent tint it gives my face. I notice that it holds my foundation, be it powder or liquid, longer. It has a powdery scent - it's pretty strong smelling but I do not think it's unpleasant.

(NAH) Review: Sasa HD Perfect Foundation in 02 Warm Ivory

After the Sasa haul in my previous post, I have been using this Sasa HD Perfect Foundation as my current go-to foundation. Nope, it's not my favourite. I simply wanna use it up.

 

Although this shade is in Warm Ivory, it does looks a bit paler than my skintone, leaving a cast over my face. Luckily, it can be solved easily with a slight dusting of bronzer to look healthy again. I don't understand how this is a HD foundation; it has zero coverage! It probably does even out my skintone only.

 

Although it costs me only 2 bucks at a Sasa sale, I would not wanna re-purchase this again even if it's for 2 bucks again. The main purpose of a good foundation is providing coverage which this totally fails to do so.

(YAY) Multiple Reviews: NYX Lips in Love Angel + Loreal Paris Lipstick in Rose Creme + Maybelline Lipstick in Scarlet Simmer

 

I have been reaching out to these lipsticks a lot recently so I thought I should just do a combined review of these babies. I like to have different shades in my current stash of lipsticks so that I can do different looks with these different shades.

 

First stop, NYX Lips in Love Angel. If you don't know me, I love pink lipsticks more than any other shades so it's not hard to guess that this is my most favourite one currently. I think pink is very wearable on me and I can rock it almost everyday. However, this is super creamy so I apply this with my fingers/brush. Direct application will allow a lot more product on the lips which will be more prone to 'bleeding' out of the lip line.

 

Next is Loreal Paris Lipstick in Rose Crème. I usually find red lipstick really hard to wear. Well, this lipstick is so wearable on me! Probably it's true that red lipstick with blue undertone suits fair-skinned people like me! Thank you blue undertone, because of your existence, I feel like this lipstick shade can be worn easily. One thing I hate the most is lousy packaging. Look at how the 'paint' has chipped off over time, not pretty! So not gonna bring this out of house.

 

Ok, Maybelline Lipstick in Scarlet Simmer is the most difficult lipstick shade to wear currently. It's a bold and deep red colour with fine golden specks. I definitely cannot wear this when I'm in casual outfit, I feel. How I wear this is that I put a sheer gloss on my lips first, then layer this lightly on top of the gloss, and tadah! A sheer red on my lips!

(YAY) Review: Daiso Cream Blushes in A, B and C

 

These 2 bucks babies are just so impressive to me! Here I have 3 shades of cream blushes from Daiso which are made in Taiwan When I swirl my fingers on it to pick up the product, the heat turns it pretty creamy. As I apply it on my cheeks, it feels powdery! It blends so easily and well on my cheeks, be it on top of liquid foundation or powder foundation!

 

The last blush to the right is too dark and brown for me to be use as a blush, so I have been using it as a contour cream. It is a suitable contour colour on my face. These looks so natural on my cheeks or as a contour!

 

Being so small and easy to carry around without the worry of the product getting broken into pieces unlike powders is definitely a plus point!

Haul: Sasa

 

This is pretty much a collective haul, I think from 3 trips to Sasa! Some were bought from its store and some were from its sale event at Plaza Singapura Atrium.

 

Ok lets get started! First up, Sally Hansen Airbush Legs in Light Glow, Shills Aqua Skin Moisturising Spray, Dot Dot Compact Waterproof Flawless Foundation in Ivory White, Shills Bemishless Pores Hide and Heal Cream, Dot Dot Gel Eyeliner in Shimmering Black, Sasatinnie Super Dolly Powerful Curling Mascara in Black, 2 Sasa Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Bases in 02 Balance, 2 Sasa HD Perfect Foundations in 02 Warm Ivory, 2 Color Combos Bodycare Ginger Slim Up Body Scrubs.

 

As you have noticed, I have each of the Sasa HD Perfect Foundation, Creamy Soft Miracle Makeup Base and Color Combos Ginger Slim Up Body Scrub missing. That's because I've actually used up all of the 1st bottles! I will be giving a reviews on these! Do watch out for these!

(YAY) Review: Dual O2 Skin Eyeliner in Purple

 

This Dual O2 Skin Eyeliner definitely has two coloured liners in black and purple. Well, the black is boring so I decide to do a review on the purple instead.

 

Both are creamy and easy to apply on my lids. However, to depend on them solely as eyeliners, I think they do smudge on me. Thus, I have been lining this purple liner on top of my favourite K-Palette eyeliner for a pop of colour or blending it as a cream eyeshadow all over my lids and oh my! It works and looks amazing as a eyeshadow! It's beautiful alone or just adding a darker colour in my crease.

 

It has really fine shimmers of pink and purple, and that's what make this eyeliner shade so lovely and it stands out from other purples one I have.

(YAY) Review: Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel

 

I like how this Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel feels light and not too sticky on my undereye area upon applying. It has a green tint but is totally colourless when applied.

 

As I use just a tiny amount before makeup, this sample size I got last me for pretty long. It does not irritates my eyes and my undereye does not feel prone to a milia/oil seeds outburst. Not a wow-zer but I would think this is a decent product.

(NAH) Double Review: Daiso Nail & Hand Cream in Mango & Peach + Apple & Rose

 

These Daiso Hand and Nail Creams smell so nice! They are a mix of sweet, fruity and floral. Their packaging is so girly and pretty in pink also!

 

However, I hate how they have shimmers in them! I never will like shimmers in my handcream. It will just makes me feel that my hands are dirty and the shimmers will transfer onto whatever I touch. Now, I only use these on my body. They make my legs and arms look like they are glistening with moisture, haha!

 

So as far as handcreams go, these do not work for me. I definitely don't recommend them to you if you're looking for a hand and nail cream.

(YAY) Review: Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Water

 

I did a Pure Beauty haul post not long ago and this was the product which I had started using for quite awhile. Thus, a review is ready!

 

This Perfect Cleansing Water is meant for sensitive skin and I think it really is gentle on my skin. In fact, I love how it feels light and fresh, like water! I also love that it does not irritate my eyes when I use this to remove my eye makeup. I do need about 3 cotton buds to remove all my makeup with this though.

 

For just $5, I think this is a favourite! That's why I ended up buying 2 of these babies!

(YAY) Review: Lioele Blooming Liptox in 01

 

Ok, I'm back to doing review after some haul posts! If you love haul posts, do check out my hauls from Taiwan, Bangkok and Korea. I have local hauls as well and more are coming your way!

 

Anyway, I love this Lioele Blooming Liptox in Shade 01! It is this lovely peachy coloured lipgloss with fine golden specks in it, too pretty. It is also my first liptox lipgloss. This means that it has a ingredient that kinda sting and tingles my lips to make them swell a little in order to have that lip plumpimg effect. The rubber applicator is also something new to me, I usually have lip brush in this lipgloss tubes.

 

A whole new experience with this one and I absolutely love it!

Haul: Birthday 2013

 

This birthday haul is definitely a late post as it happened in April. So let's get on with it.

 

I got beauty products from LaLine. It's a pretty new brand in the Singapore market and I have the chance to have these! All the products were wrapped nicely in the white basket containing a Body Brush, Bath Bomb, Vanilla Shower Cream and a pack of 25 Make offs Make Up Removing Wipes.

 

Next, I got The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam and a cute display that plays eerie music when I turn the I love you wheel.

 

The last beauty product is just as awesome! I got a Too Faced Glamour to Go Eye Shadow, Blush, Bronzer and Lip Gloss Palette.

Haul: Pure Beauty from Watsons

 

Just about one month ago, there was a Pure Beauty sale in Watsons, with each of the product in this line selling for $5. I knew it was a good chance to buy some skincare from Korea for $5. I bought 1 bottle of Perfect Cleansing Oil, 2 bottles of Perfect Cleansing Water (I'm using one currently), a Super Brightening Eye Gel, 2 Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl (I gave one away) and 2 Youth Restore Essence with Black Pearl.

 

I have started using the Perfect Cleansing Water for quite awhile. In fact, it's in my list of products I'm using currently. I will be giving you a review of it very soon. Stay tuned.
